Meet Rebecca
Experience You Can Trust:
I spent a decade working in veterinary medicine, starting as a vet tech after training at Colorado Mountain College and eventually becoming the Animal Welfare Manager at the Longmont Humane Society.
I’ve worked on the frontlines of animal care, supporting families and teams through everything from routine care to crisis. I have managed shelters, worked with large and small animals, worked in animal protection, consulted on animal rights bills here in Colorado and helped co-ordinate evacuations during natural disasters.
I know what it feels like to love animals deeply… and still feel overwhelmed, emotionally fatigued, or unsure how to navigate the day to day. As a pet parent and former shelter worker I understand euthanasia and it’s impacts.
Now, as a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I focus on supporting the people behind the profession especially those navigating compassion fatigue, grief, and the financial and emotional realities of veterinary medicine.
I’m also deeply committed to supporting those navigating the loss of a beloved animal, especially when that loss is complex, sudden, or shaped by difficult decisions like euthanasia.
This isn’t surface-level support. This is clinically informed support and care. Schedule time with me now at sitstayfeel@gmail.com
